Landing/Launching pathways

The initiators of CI resourced their practice from Aikido, who mastered the art of falling by traveling to and from the ground along specific pathways made up of bouncy muscle chains. Later CI researchers named these chains landing/launching pads, because we can land on them, fall and push out of them.

In this class we will identify and use our landing/launching pathways to increase our capacity for:

-Landing safely and pleasurably, reducing risk of injury from falling on unsuitable body areas.

-Sharing weight with a partner

-Increasing pleasure of dancing/willingness to enter high lifts knowing that we can catch ourselves when we fall.

Class is followed by a Jam til 6pm
